Hello friends, I’ve been locked out of my phone for a month or so, I disrespect passwords and so my punishment took a while.
I’m very sad to tell you that my husband Ron of 59 3/4 years passed on Jan 10th of a long battle w/ MDS ( a bone marrow cancer), heart failure, 3 heart attacks+ Stents, gall bladder infection, and a strangulated hernia. After coming through all of that, the angry white blasts came after what was left of the red cells. He did this with a strong belief in God and some good old stubborn nature. He taught me much about endurance. The last ten days were in a Hospice House, where they told him they were there to make him “ comfortable “. This made him mad because he didn’t want to be comfortable, he wanted to be better. His memorial service is this Thursday, and I’m so thankful for my 3 kids, 7 grandchildren, and Junie, our great granddaughter. If you’re still w/ your loved one…give them a kiss and thank God??????

I also live in Washington state. I lived in Minneapolis from birth to the summer before our senior year when I was required kicking and screaming to move with my parents and little brothers to Portland Oregon. I attended Standish, Falwell, and Roosevelt ( where I guess I was a guest) I love y’all and hope to attend another reunion.
A very happy and blessed birthday to you Nancy! And a thank you for all that you do to keep us together… I appreciate you, but then you are a very good Norwegian????????

I grew up a little star-struck I think. I remember standing down on Bloomington ave. with my mother and sister to wave at President Eisenhower as his limo drove by. My next memory is of shaking the Lone Ranger's hand at Powderhorn Park. then there was Bobby Wandberg's uncle who lived in Hollywood next door to Roy Rogers. And everyone thought that my mother looked like one of the McGuire sisters, and my dad like Ronald Reagan. (Well probably not everyone). I was pretty impressed by celebrity. It took me some time to realize that the One, Who by the breath of His mouth created the stars, put the deep into storehouses, and the sea into jars was the only One that I will forever bow down to. It makes me uncomfortable to be praised for raising our grandchildren because it was only God's grace that made it possible, and His strength that has brought us this far. I just want you to know that when you read my profile, I am not the one to give credit to.
